Message From the Office

FROM THE OFFICE

What an exciting start to the school year! We had such a great week celebrating our Panther Pride winners, getting our Virtual Concert ready, our Juniour Volleyball Club wrapped up their club and we had our yearly Turkey Draw! This year 17 students won a holiday dinner for their families! Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, veggies, cranberry sauce and gravy! We hope you all enjoy!!! It’s hard to believe Panthers, that when we see you again it will be 2023! We hope you and your loved ones have a relaxing break full of love, laughter and good health.

SAFE ARRIVAL- PLEASE HELP US! Safe Arrival is easy to use and there are 3 ways to report an absence. When you report the absences beforehand it helps the Office reduce the number of callbacks which saves the Office a lot of time and ensures the safety of our students much quicker in the day! Your time to report the absence is so helpful!

  1. Call 1 866 606 5567 (before 9:00a.m.)
  2. Online- set up an online SchoolMessenger Parent Portal Account
  3. Mobile Phone App- download the SchoolMessenger app to report an absence conveniently!

WINTER CONCERT- We have shared the Virtual Concert and the link will remain live until Friday, December 30th so you can watch with your families. It turned out so well!! We hope you enjoy the hard work that every class put into getting their performances ready for you! A special thank you to Mrs. Zanatta and Ms. Demers for taping all the classes, and putting the movie together. Students had a chance to see it on Thursday! Great work everyone!

EMPATHY- Congrats to the students recognized for showing Empathy this month. Why is empathy important? Empathy is the first step in having positive relationships because it helps us understand and relate to others. Empathy has two parts, shared emotion and seeing other perspectives. Both parts of empathy are ways in which we make the effort to understand other people and share an emotion with them.

STAY IN TOUCH- Check out the Plymouth webpage at https://plymouth.dsbn.org/; our Twitter page @SchoolPlymouth and subscribe to our School Messenger app for emails or texts. Just text 978338 with “Y” or “Yes”.

Panthers, remember to always,
